Bound Base Pro

A permeable, single-part bound base course under resin bound surfaces. A flexible alternative to asphalt or concrete.

Bound Base Pro is the structural base layer under a Resin Mill resin bound surface: aggregate bound with a specialist single-part polyurethane binder, laid 15 to 30 mm thick depending on the application and reinforced with a 100kN structural reinforcement mesh. It is a flexible, water-permeable alternative to an asphalt or concrete base, it can reduce excavation depth, and it shortens the wait between layers.

No mix ratios

A single-part binder, so there is nothing to measure on site.

Ready in hours

Typically ready for the next layer after 6 to 10 hours, depending on temperature.

Permeable

Water drains through the base as well as through the surface.

Bound Base Pro is a structural base layer of aggregate and a specialist single-part binder, between 15 and 30 mm thick depending on the application. The structural reinforcement mesh above and below it improves load distribution and the load-bearing performance of the whole system.

Where required, up to 25 mm of well-compacted 5-10 mm angular stone gives a smooth, level surface for the mesh. Underneath, a free-draining Type 3 sub-base of at least 150 mm, increasing to 300 mm where ground conditions require it, keeps the system permeable.
